Friday March 22 I received a letter to be signed back last Friday detailing some revisions from my original contract in 1994.
We originally had till last Friday …but it must be in now Friday the 5th

I have a few questions and wondered. They did encourage if we wanted to have a lawyer look at it to do so.

I have been with the company for nearly 19 years. As of April 1 there is a merger forming a new company

of existing accounting bodies now under a new one company.

In my new letter It states my position … Manager … could change in the future … as the new accounting body deems fit.

    As well
The newly formed company may terminate your employment at any time without cause by providing you the notice of termination, or pay in lieu of notice, severance pay, vacation pay accrual and benefit coverage continuation required by the Employment Standards Act 2000, as amended (“ESA”) along with any other payments or entitlements.

After 18 and a half years of exceeds expectations service is this acceptable?

I was also told if it was not to them by the date April 5th … I wouldn’t be paid? Does that mean if I have not accepted the letter of employment I am terminated? Who would decide what measure my dismissal would fall under as guidelines to follow.? The old company … or new?

I am so glad I stumbled upon your site. I really found you by accident, while I was browsing on Google for something else. Anyways I am here now and would just like to say thank you for a great post and an all round enjoyable blog. (I also like the theme/design), I don’t have time to read through it all at the minute, but I have added your website to my favorites, so when I have time I will be back to read more. Please do keep up the awesome job!

Thanks for this awesome blog. I have had some doubts about how to deal a wrongful dismissal case. Now I understood how to hire a good wrongful dismissal lawyer. Your interview helped a lot. Thanks again. Keep posting new articles.
